In 2014, day&night hairdressers switched to the hair colouring of the Original & Mineral brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The permanent hair colouring Mineral CCT is distinguished by the missing, aggressive ingredients resorcinol, PPD and ammonia. The colouring no longer has that strong ammonia scent that used to stay in the salon. Which is a lot nicer. The smell does not linger in your hair either. Instead, the colouring includes an active mineral complex of almond oil and sunflower seed wax. The paint does not stick to the scalp, so you will not get stains on your ears and forehead either.

There are a total of 100 permanent colours with which your hairstylist can even create more colours. It has good grey coverage and the color of your hair can be lightened up to five levels. Almost every colour is possible due to the countless combinations that the hairdressers can make. So it all depends on the creativity of your hairstylist. And day&night hairdressers they know how to work this wel! Do you prefer a semi-permanent hair colouring? That is also possible! O&M – short for Original & Mineral – also has the Liquid CCT colour line; a line with various hair dyes that do not leave permanent colour in the hair. The liquids can be used as a rinse immediately after a colour treatment. The liquid can also be used as an independent treatment, for example to refresh the colour.

Are you currently pregnant or is this planned, but do you think that dyeing your hair might be harmful to the baby? Don’t worry, mom! O&M is not harmful to the unborn baby. This is because there is no PPD in the products, which would be the biggest culprit. Animal lovers need not to fear either, because the products are not tested on animals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chemicals ammonia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A chemical that opens the hair cuticles so that the color can be completely absorbed by the hair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Unpleasant smell<\/li>
  • O&M does not contain ammonia<\/li>
  • Many people have become allergic by colouring their hair with consequences such as: An itchy scalp and watery\/red eyes.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Substitution: Mea – Monothanolamine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    An alkaline vehicle that swells the cuticle so that the color can be absorbed. This ingredient is odorless and soft for the hands and the (scalp) skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PPD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Paraphenylenediamine is a chemical that is widely and traditionally used as a permanent hair dye. People who are highly allergic to PPD have not been able to dye their hair with a traditional hair dye. known as a possible carcinogen. Allergic reactions to PPD are common and reactions include dermatitis, red spots and swelling of the scalp and face. In some severe cases, the eyelids swell completely shut and can result in contact urticaria and anaphylaxis<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Replacement: PTDS – P-Toluenediamine Sulfate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Recent studies show that more than 50% of people who cannot use hair colouring containing PPD can use hair colouring with PTDS as an alternative ingredient. This ingredient is also used in low concentrations in O&M formulas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    <\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Resorcinol<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Used as a dye and also commonly found in topical acne treatments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Suspected that it disrupts the hormone balance<\/li>
    • It is suspected that this is a toxic substance on the human immune system.<\/li>
    • It is suspected to be toxic to flora and fauna.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Substitution: 2-Methylresorcinol OR 4-Cloro resorcinol<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
